James Ahn Brandfonbrener
James Ahn Brandfonbrener is a musician, composer, and teacher from New York. He regularly performs at diverse venues across NYC, recently appearing at Minton’s Playhouse, The Bowery Electric, Merkin Hall, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. He has composed music for prominent ensembles such as loadbang and the DaCapo Chamber Players and has contributed original music for a major installation at the Park Avenue Armory. James is proud to teach with youth music and theater programs in NYC and Westchester County, and he is a Steinway Education Partner for piano instruction. He completed a BA in Music Composition from Yale University, where he received the Abraham Beekman Cox Prize in Composition.
